Mumbai Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2024-25 concludes at TISS Campus, Mumbai
Team of two from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, wins the first prize, while Sikkim Skill University team bags 2nd position

The Mumbai Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2024-25 concluded today at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, amidst remarkable enthusiasm and intense competition. The event witnessed participation from 65 teams representing premier engineering and management institutions across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Goa.
After an exciting and intellectually stimulating contest, the first prize was won by the team of Suyash Patankar and Madhu Tike from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai. The second prize was secured by Shubham Jha and Sourav Kumar from Sikkim Skill University, while the third prize was awarded to Arjun VV and Gaurav Kumar from TISS, Mumbai. The top two teams will now represent the Mumbai Region at the National Finals in Noida on the 27th and 28th of February 2025, where they will compete with winners from eight other regional rounds across India.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kamlesh Soni, Regional Executive Director (West-I), NTPC, emphasised the significance of such platforms in fostering intellectual growth and industry awareness among students. He stated, "The NTPC Electron Quiz is more than just a competition; it is a celebration of knowledge, innovation, and strategic thinking. As NTPC completes 50 years of powering the nation, we remain committed to nurturing young talent who will shape India's future across diverse sectors, including energy, business, and management." Smt. Vandana Chaturvedi, Regional Head of HR (West-I), NTPC, also highlighted the importance of engaging young minds through such initiatives.
Sharing his thoughts on the win, Suyash Patankar, First Prize Winner from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, said, “Competing in the NTPC Electron Quiz was an exhilarating experience. The quiz not only tested our business and management acumen but also encouraged us to think beyond textbooks and apply concepts in a dynamic environment. We are thrilled to represent the Mumbai Region in the National Finals and look forward to an even bigger challenge ahead.”

The NTPC Electron Quiz, was established in 2004, and over the years, has grown into a premier knowledge event, challenging students to demonstrate their expertise in business and management concepts. As NTPC marks its 50th anniversary, this year’s quiz serves as a tribute to its ongoing commitment to knowledge, innovation, and leadership.
