Around 250 Special Guests from Maharashtra set to attend Republic Day Parade 2025 in New Delhi

Republic Day 2025 celebrations in the nation’s capital, New Delhi, will be a unique blend of India’s cultural diversity and military prowess, with special focus on 75 years of enactment of the constitution. In line with the objective to increase ‘Jan Bhagidari’ in events of national importance, approximately 10,000 special guests have been invited to witness the 76th Republic Day Parade in the presence of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 26, 2025.
Special Guests from Maharashtra also form part of these invitees. These guests from various parts of Maharashtra include:
- PM Kisan Samradhi Yojna : 09 guests
- PM Kisan Yojna : 03 guests
- Mann Ki Baat : 10 guests
- Youth Affairs : 12 guests
- Rural Development : 14 guests
- Tribal Affairs : 29 guests
- Environment, Forest & Climate : 04 guests
- Best Performing Trainees : 05 guests
- Sarpanch : 34 guests
- PACS M/o Cooperation : 17 guests
- Fisheries Scheme : 06 guests
- PM Yashavi Scheme : 12 guests
- Best Patent Holder : 01 guest
- Textile (Handicraft) : 12 guests
- Paani Samitee (Drinking Water & Sanitation) : 09 guests
- Best Start Up : 01 guest
- Agriculture Infra Fund : 07 guests
- FPO : 05 guests
- My Bharat Volunteers : 03 guests
Some of the invited guests are carrying out exemplary work to ensure income & employment generation and environment protection through Self Help Groups (SHGs). SHGs working in areas of food, nutrition, health, water sanitation & hygiene, Panchayati Raj Institutions-Community Based Organisations Convergence and gender activities have been invited. Preference has been given to a SHG member who has not visited Delhi before.
Farmers and families who have supported environment conservation and use of renewable energy under PM Surya Ghar scheme and PM KUSUM have also been invited for the first time.
Sarpanches, whose villages have achieved targets in selected government initiatives have been invited. A national-level competition was announced by Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances among panchayats. Panchayats which have achieved targets in at least six flagship schemes were selected as Special Guests.
Many of those invited will be visiting Delhi for the first time and have expressed their joy and pride on being invited to Delhi on this special occasion.
“Every competition gives me a better experience to improve. I learn from my mistakes and work on those shortcomings in training which enhances my performance in the next competition. I feel honoured to be invited to the Republic Day Parade.” says Shri. Suyash Yadav, Indian Paralympic Swimmer from Pune, Maharashtra.

“I am very happy that the Prime Minister has invited me to Delhi for Republic Day. Under the Har Ghar Bijli Yojana I have installed Solar panels at my house. This scheme has not only benefited me but also reduced the pollution on the earth by saving the environment. So it gives a good message to the future generations.” says Shri. Manohar Devsing Kharde, beneficiary of PM Surya Ghar Yojana from Nandurbar, Maharashtra.

These Special Guests are achievers and best performers in their respective area and this honour has been bestowed upon them even as they are the architects of Swarnim Bharat. In addition to the Republic Day celebrations, these special guests will be visiting the National War Memorial, PM Sangrahalay and other prominent places in Delhi. They will also get an opportunity to interact with the Ministers from the respective Ministry under which their achievement falls. This year, the theme of Republic Day Celebrations is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’.
