The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in Government departments and organizations via video conferencing today in Arunachal Pradesh, 258 candidates were given appointment letters at ITBP NE Frontier Headquarter, Khating Hills, Itanagar in this 14th Rojgar Mela. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the Government in various Ministries and Departments including the Indo Tibetan Border Force, Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Indian Postal Department, Indian Railways, and Sashastra Seema Bal among others. 45 places across the country were connected with the Mela during the Prime Minister’s address.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister stated that he had returned from Kuwait late last night, where he had extensive discussions with Indian youth and professionals. And this is a very pleasant coincidence that after returning, his first program is with the youth of the country. “Today marks a new beginning for thousands of Youths in the country. Your years of dreams have come true, years of hard work have paid off. This outgoing year of 2024 is bringing new happiness to you. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of you and your families”, the Prime Minister said.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju expressed his happiness in distributing appointment letters to the newly recruited youths. In his address the Minister emphasized the government's strong commitment to creating infrastructure and opportunities that empower the youth to achieve self-reliance. Shri Rijiju stated that this government has built the necessary infrastructure, and now it is the turn of the youth to secure employment that will not only support their families but also pave the way for their personal growth and success.
While acknowledging the significance of government jobs, the Minister also encouraged the youth to explore other avenues for career growth. The government is committed to supporting young entrepreneurs and helping them fulfil their dreams, he added. The Minister's remarks underscore the government's ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and robust ecosystem that promotes both government and self-employment opportunities for the youth, ultimately contributing to the nation's economic growth.
Union Minister for Parliamentary affairs and Minority Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju handed over appointment letters to 25 candidates. Total 258 candidates received appointment letters today including 35 women.
