‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ Campaign: South Goa Collectorate to conduct camps in all sub offices to resolve public grievances


Over 700 District Collectors’ offices to participate in the nationwide campaign

As part of the nationwide ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign for redressal of public grievances and improving service delivery, the South Goa District will be conducting special camps for the general public to resolve their grievances pertaining to government departments and offices including Taluka Mamlatdars and Deputy Collectors, from 18th to 23rd December, 2024.

Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore, being observed during the 4th Good Governance Week 2024, is a decentralize version of Special Campaign 4.0 conducted in central ministries, departments and PSUs from 2nd to 31st October, 2024. As part of the campaign, several activities will be taking place in all districts, states and Union Territories of India from 19th – 24th December, 2024.

In the campaign, over 700 District Collectors will be participating and officials will be visiting Tehsils and Panchayat Samiti headquarters. This is the third time that the Government of India is conducting a national campaign at Tehsil Level to address public grievances and improving service delivery. The campaign is aimed to create a national movement for good governance that will inspire future generations.

Talking about the activities in South Goa district during the 4th Good Governance Week 2024, Egna Cleetus IAS, Collector, South Goa, said that the special camps are aimed at addressing the public grievances and expedite service delivery applications. “As part of the activities, the Citizen Charter for South Goa District will also be unveiled, alongside the documentation of success stories to inspire further innovation and reform. Officers from key departments including Police, ISLR, Forest, PWD, Electricity, TCP, and Village Panchayats and Municipalities will be present at the Special Camp on 21st December 2024 to resolve department-specific grievances,” she said.

I appeal to my fellow citizens to participate actively in this campaign. Share your grievances, utilize the services provided, and contribute to the progress of our state, she added.

Offices of Deputy Collector & SDO Ponda, Mormugao, Salcete (SDO-I & SDO-II), Quepem, Canacona, & Dharbandora and Sanguem Municipal Hall in Sanguem

Special camp at Taluka-level from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, 21.12.2024
