Kashmir Youth Exchange Program to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from November 1 to 6

Kashmir Youth Exchange Program will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from November 1 to 6, 2024, as part of Mera Yuva Bharat under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs. The program, jointly organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Kerala Zone.Programme will be inaugurated by Mr. Arif Muhammad Khan, Governor of Kerala, at Giridipam Convention Center, Nalanchira at 04.30 pm on November 1st. Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP will preside over the event. Shri M Anil Kumar, Kerala State Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra sangathan and Shri Sandeep Krishnan, District Youth Officer will address the audience. Traditional art programs of Kashmir and Kerala will be presented on the stage following the inaugural ceremony. 130 young men and women from Kashmir will visit Thiruvananthapuram .
Former Union Minister of State Shri V. Muralidharan will inaugurate the exhibition of Kashmiri products at 10 am, on November 2. Ms. V. Parvathy, Director, Central Communication Bureau will address the event. Expert classes on various topics will be organised in the following days. V. Palanichamy, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau, Dr. Arsu, Visiting Professor, Gandhian Chair, University of Calicut, Dr. Raghu and Dr. Gopakumar will lead the sessions.
The Kashmiri delegation will visit the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Doordarshan Centre, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre-Thumba, Sports Authority of India-Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Museum and Kovalam Beach. The delegation will also participate in campaign activities including Swachhta Hi Seva and Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam. The group will return to Kashmir on November 7. The youth exchange program, organized under the auspices of Nehru Yuva Kendra, aims to foster cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing about the nation’s heritage and to highlight the development activities underway in different parts of the country. This will enable Kashmiri Youth to act as proponents of national unity, integrity and peace in the Kashmir Valley.
