The award ceremony held today in the Conference hall of AYJNISHD (D) in Bandra West, was attended by ‘Safai Karmacharis’, institute officials and students. Dr. Suman Kumar,  Director of AYJNISHD (D), expressed immense gratitude for the unwavering commitment shown by the ‘Safai Karmacharis’, emphasizing their vital role in achieving the goals of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and care of health by avoiding wrong habits.

During the event, awards were presented to the best ‘Safai Karmacharis’ of the institute, recognising their hard work, dedication, and the pivotal role they play in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within our community. Their efforts have been instrumental in fostering a culture of cleanliness and responsibility among students and staff alike. The campaign's activities included cleanliness drives, orientation program, planting trees, shredding of old files and community engagement efforts, all aimed at promoting sanitation and hygiene practices. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a clean environment through the ‘Swachhata Pledge,’ on 14th September 2024 with a promise to uphold the principles of cleanliness and responsibility in their daily lives and several other programs that demonstrated the need for cleanliness at all places. The 4S campaign, led by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, underscores the importance of integrating natural cleanliness with societal values.
