“My Garbage is My Responsibility,” Ms. Bhagyashree delivered an inspiring message during the live demonstration. With over five years of hands-on experience in composting and teaching, Bhagyashree highlighted the critical importance of waste sorting and effective home composting techniques. Her interactive session included practical demonstrations, guiding participants on how to manage waste in their homes and contribute to a greener planet.

"Sanitation workers are not 'kachrawalas'; rather, it is the citizens who fail to properly dispose of or recycle their waste that truly embody that label. We must recognize the vital role sanitation workers play in our communities and take responsibility for our own waste management practices." Ms. Bhagyashree stated that waste management is not just a responsibility; it’s an opportunity to create a sustainable future, “By sorting our household waste, we can significantly impact our communities and the environment.”

Participants were introduced to the essential Home Composting Kit and learned the significance of diligently following up on their composting journey for two months to ensure successful outcomes. Ms. Bhagyashree’s insights inspired attendees to embrace a zero-waste lifestyle and take active roles in waste management.

Joint Director, Sh. Rabee Sayyad Hashmi, Deputy Director Ms. Jaydevi Pujariswamy, officials and staff of PIB Mumbai participated in the event. Information Assistant, Ms. Sonal Tupe anchored the event.

The session ended with a Q&A session.
