Multimedia Photo Exhibition organized on 27 and 28 September in the area near Verul Caves by Central Bureau of Communication

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Information and Broadcast Ministry’s Press Information Bureau, Mumbai has organized Rural Media workshop -Vartalap for invited Journalists at Verul(Ellora) in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar District on 27 September. ‘Sustainable Tourism- A Collaborative Journey’ is the theme of this workshop and its aim is to create awareness among the general public about tourist destinations and various development schemes being implemented by the Central Government for the development of tourist destinations and conservation and development of heritage sites. India Tourism Department  and Archaeological Survey of India office  of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar are also participating in the event. The workshop is organized at Mythical Park, Ellora Visiting Center, Verul (Ellora), Chhatrapati Sambhaji nagar.  After the formal  inauguration , sessions on various topics have been organized for the guidance of the media representatives. Milind Dusare, District Information Officer,Chh. Sambhaji nagar will speak on the topic Sustainable Tourism and Media,

Malati Datta,Asst.Director,India Tourism  will guide the participants on Sustainable Tourism: Innovative initiatives for environment friendly journey in this session, while  Supretendind Archaeologist Dr. Shivkumar Bhagat,  of Archaeology  Survey Department, will brief about the work of Archaeology Department in the context of 'Preservation and Conservation of Heritage: Role of Archaeology Department in Sustainable Tourism'. Jayadevi Pujari Swamy will deliberate on 'Effective flow of information by Press Information Bureau and role of rural journalist in developmental communication' and also the motive  of organising Rural Media workshop.

There will be focus on two way interaction through question and answer sessions as well as the occult of the attendees. Press Information Bureau is an important institute disseminating information about the Central government’s schemes and programs. This office is the main link between the central government and the media for reaching out directly to the public. 

Along with this event, a two-day multimedia Photo exhibition has been organized by Central Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India and India Tourism on 27th and 28th September 2024 at Verul Caves Campus. Information about tourist spots and tourism development plans will be given through LED wall at the venue of the exhibition. Special facility of Digital Selfie point and 360 degree selfie point will be made available for the tourists. The exhibition will be open to all the citizens, tourists and students free of cost on both the days from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
