Swacchata He Sewa Campaign by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Nagpur

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Nagpur, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has organized a comprehensive cleanliness campaign from 17th September to 2nd October 2024. The objective of this campaign is to raise awareness about cleanliness and to encourage the adoption of cleanliness habits in society. The campaign was initiated under the guidance of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Praveen Kumar, and led by Assistant Director General of Foreign Trade, Snehal Dhokey. DGFT staff participated in cleaning various areas of the city and conducted several activities to emphasize the importance of cleanliness. 

The initiatives likeCleanliness Pledge,Cleaning of Record Room and Office Premises,Cleanliness Rally and  Cleaning of Ambazari Lake and Garden were conducted by the DGFT employees.

Employees cleaned these areas and emphasized on the importance of maintaining cleanliness.

An Essay Competition will also be organized at D.A.V. High School, Jaripatka, and Dayanand Upper Primary School in Nagpur. The objective of this competition is to raise awareness about cleanliness among students and encourage them to adopt clean habits.

Under 'Ek Ped Ma ke Namm 'Tree Plantation Program  will also  be organized. DGFT employees will participate in this event, promoting the message of environmental conservation.

The campaign will conclude on 2nd October 2024, on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary. On this day, DGFT employees will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and reaffirm their commitment to cleanliness.
