Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj Shri George Kurian administered the pledge in the presence of Secretary, Department of Fisheries Dr. Abilaksh Likhi along with other senior officers and staff. Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Department of Fisheries has launched the Swachhata Hi Seva with the theme of 'Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata (स्वभावस्वच्छता - संस्कारस्वच्छता) with Swachhata Pledge.

Department of Fisheries has launched the Swachhata Hi Seva with the theme of 'Swabhav Swachhata- Sanskaar Swachhata (स्वभावस्वच्छता - संस्कारस्वच्छता) with Swachhata Pledge on 17.09.2024 in the premises of Krishi bhawan for promoting a sense of commitment towards cleanliness and sanitation.

The campaign is part of the ongoing program of Swachh Bharat Mission, initiated in 2014, as the campaign for behavioural change towards cleanliness in this country.

The Department is planning various Swacchata activities from 18^th September 2024 onwards which include mass shramdaan of office premises, nearby local areas, plantation off trees under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', holding of various competitions etc. throughout the Swacchata Pakhwada The Department of Fisheries is committed towards the goal of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission.
