Steel Authority of India Ltd.’s Management Training Institute (MTI) is organizing the Chairman’s Trophyfor Young Managers (CTYM) 2024-25, while SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant and other Integrated Steel Plants (ISPs) of SAIL are organizing Director I/c Trophy for Young Managers (DICTYM) 2024-25. CTYM is being organized to encourage managerial excellence among Young Managers, self-development through reading and applying management concepts in an empirical situation and the inflow of new ideas and concepts in management into the Company. The common theme of both competitions is “Transforming Safety Culture in SAIL- Way Forward".

Interested executives of SAIL-BSP up to the age of 45 years as on 01st April 2024 may apply for the competition by 15th September 2024, to Head of Training / HR-L&D through their Head of Department in the prescribed format. The Papers are to be submitted on or before 15th November 2024. Based on Papers and Presentations, three winning teams shall be selected for DICTYM from the Bhilai Steel Plant by the Selection Committee before 30th November 2024.

The winning team of BSP’s DICTYM will qualify for the final round of CTYM to be organised by MTI, Ranchi and will compete against teams from other units of SAIL. The Presentation for selecting the Champions and Runners-up Teams (1st& 2nd) at SAIL-level for CTYM shall be organized before 31st January 2025.

The necessary details in pursuance of the SAIL Chairman’s Trophy & BSP-Director I/c Trophy for Young Managers (DICTYM) 2024-25 have been provided on the BSP Intranet/HR-L&D Web pagewebpage under the P&A portal on Departmental Websites.

The Chairman's Trophy for Young Managers (CTYM) is a prestigious competition organized every year at the SAIL level on current management topics. In the preliminary round, one team from each unit of SAIL is selected through unit-level competition and then final winners and runners-up are selected among the teams representing each unit of SAIL in the grand finale which is organized in SAIL's Management Training Institute (MTI), Ranchi.
