27th National Conference on e-Governance Begins in Mumbai Tomorrow
Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh to Inaugurate the 2- Day Conference on the Theme ‘Vikasit Bharat: Secure and Sustainable e-Service Delivery”

The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the State Government of Maharashtra, are organising the 27th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2024 on September 3—4, 2024, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The theme for this year's conference is 'Viksit Bharat: Secure and Sustainable e-Service Delivery.'

A Press Conference to brief the media about the event was addressed by Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Ms. Sujata Saunik and Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, Shri. V. Srinivas in Mantralaya, Mumbai, today.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sujata Saunik stated, “Various successful e- Governance efforts from Maharashtra will also be showcased at the Conference. Smart PHC, Digitization efforts through Setu, Caste Certification through Block Chain, Nutrition Tracking, Disaster Management are various themes on which presentations will be made on behalf of the State. Many initiatives at the district level will be discussed and efforts will be made to upscale successful initiatives. The aim is to learn from different projects across Maharashtra and different States in India.

Addressing the media, Shri. V. Srinivas said, “The aim of the Conference is to work towards the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, that in Amrit Kaal next generation administrative reforms should be given priority and service delivery should reach the last mile seamlessly. Unnecessary interference by the Government in the lives of people should stop and processes should enrich the lives of people.”

About the 27th National Conference on e-Governance
The two-day conference will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde, and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy, and Department of Space, Government of India, Dr. Jitendra Singh. The 2-day event will also be graced by the presence of Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis,
During the conference, the National Awards for e-Governance 2024 will be conferred upon 16 exemplary initiatives. These awards include 9 gold, 6 silver, and 1 jury award- across five categories- awarded to Central, State, District authorities and Academic/ Research Institutions. The conference aims to bring together government officials, industry experts, and academicians to discuss innovative and transformative approaches to ensure secure and sustainable e-service delivery in India; thereby contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
The Conference will feature 6 plenary sessions and 6 breakout sessions. Overall, about 60 speakers from diverse backgrounds will share their experiences and present the best practices on a wide range of sub-themes, such as:
- Digital Platforms and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for Viksit Bharat;
- Shaping Service Delivery for Tomorrow;
- Data Governance: Privacy and Security in the Digital Age;
- Use of Al in Governance;
- Creating Sustainability with E-Governance;
- Cybersecurity and Emergency Response Readiness;
- Excellence in E-Governance Initiatives by Gold Awardees of NAeG 2024;
- Emerging and Future e-Governance initiatives/ e- commerce initiatives / emerging technologies;
- Excellence in E-Governance Initiatives by Silver Awardees of NAeG 2024;
- District Level Initiatives in E-Governance- Gold/ Silver Awardees of NAeG 2024;
- Maharashtra State Government Initiatives in E-Governance; and
- Innovation and Future Trends in RTS.
This conference will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on integrating state-of-the-art technology to enhance e-service delivery. Industry experts will contribute with their knowledge and insights, offering perspectives on the future of e-governance in India. Delegates from 28 States and 8 Union Territories will participate in the conference. An Exhibition will also be organised during the event to showcase India's achievements in the field of e-Governance, including a Wall of Fame/photo exhibition highlighting the award winners from previous years.
