Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati’s ongoing three-day Multimedia Exhibition celebrating India’s maiden National Space Day at National Science Centre, Khanaparahas brought India’s space journey under one roof. Day two witnessed visitors from various parts of the city.
On day two of the exhibition, Dr. Om Prakash, Mission Director (IAS), SamagraShiksha, Assam today visited the exhibition and interacted with the students present on the occasion. Underlining the significance of India’s first National Space Day, Dr. Prakash urged the students to explore the Multimedia Exhibition that is digitally interactive and includes technologies such as Augmented reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR), Touch wall, Holographic projections, etc.

ISRO is one of the best organisations and the most affordable and accurate in this field. It has been successfully launching space initiatives and I urge the students keen on learning more about this field, said Dr. Prakash, highlighting the bright future that it holds.
A quiz competition was held among the students on the theme of National Space Day and science-related topics. Prizes were also distributed among them.

The first ever National Space Day of India is being observed across the country with CBC organising 24 exhibitions in different states. The prime focus of the exhibition is to engage and inspire the young generation towards space science and technology and its application in today’s world.

Shri Vijay Sanker Sharma, Director, National Science Centre, Khanapara Guwahati and Additional Director General, Shri Ajay Agarwal, Central Bureau of Communication, New Delhi and Additional Director General, NE Zone, Smt. Jane Namchu were also present on the second day.
The Multimedia Exhibition is open to public from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM on till Sunday, August 25th.
