A video promo in Marathi language on DRM Digital Radio transmission of Akashvani Panaji was released by Shri Sunil Bhatia, Deputy Director General (E) and Head of the Office, High Power Transmitter (HPT) Panaji, Akashvani Panaji, and Doordarshan Kendra, Goa, at a program held at HPT Akashvani Panaji, Bambolim, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Akashvani Panaji had recently conducted model awareness campaigns on DRM Digital Radio in Goa to create awareness and provide a physical demo of DRM Digital Radio to all the target groups in various infotainment systems.

The campaigns were aimed at car owners, sales managers, sales executives, relationship managers, and car showroom staff in the State. Based on these awareness campaigns, the Marathi language video promo was prepared for the public by Dr. Thamminana Krushna Rao, a DRM Digital Radio enthusiast, and Shri C.P. Harikumar, Assistant Engineer, HPT Akashvani Panaji, both of whom participated in the campaigns under the supervision of Shri Sunil Bhatia, DDG(E).

The model awareness campaigns were conducted at various showrooms, including Maruti (Arena &Nexa), MG Motors, Toyota, and Mercedes Benz. There are nearly two lakh cars equipped with DRM Digital Radio facilities in the state of Goa.

The promo on DRM Digital Radio awareness in Marathi, which was released on Wednesday, was prepared based on the sample survey and feedback from the target groups.

Earlier, Akashvani Panaji had released a promo video in Konkani language on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on August 15, 2024. The video is now available on the YouTube channel of Doordarshan Goa.
