Praises PM Modi's Leadership, Announces Focus on Social and Economic Justice in Upcoming Budget

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramdas Athawale, addressed a press conference at the Circuit House in Ahmedabad today, highlighting the achievements of his ministry and the implementation of its schemes in Gujarat.
Shri Athawale commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said , " Historic decisions such as the passage of the reservation bill for women and the removal of Article 370. He also praised the PM's focus on infrastructure development, including the expansion of rail networks, roads, and airports."
The Minister highlighted the government's fellowship scheme, which provides financial support to students across every state, 60% of which is borne by the ministry. He also announced that the upcoming budget will prioritize social and economic justice, focusing on marginalized communities."
Shri Athawale also mentioned the government's efforts to eradicate manual scavenging, providing Rs 40,000 to identified beneficiaries for their livelihood and allocating funds to municipalities to purchase machines, ensuring no one has to enter drains.
Additionally, he highlighted the government's initiatives to sanction three lakh houses equipped with toilets for the poor along and Rs 20,000 crore for farmers. He expressed his appreciation for PM Modi's commitment to social justice and his efforts to develop Gujarat as a model state. Our ministry is committed for Social and economic justice and just like PM Modi government worked to remove 25 crore people out of poverty We will continue to work in this direction especially for the employment.
After the press conference, the Minister reviewed the implementation of his ministry's schemes in Gujarat.
