Comprehensive Competitiveness Workshop for raising awareness amongst MSMEs was organized in Pune

The Ministry of MSME inaugurated the Comprehensive Competitiveness Workshop under the World Bank supported “Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance” (RAMP Programme), the first amongst a series of workshops planned for raising awareness amongst MSMEs to catalyse their growth and competitiveness on 19th July in Pune, Maharashtra.

The workshop aims to raise the awareness about various initiatives of the Ministry of MSME which include the existing schemes of the Ministry as well as the new initiatives launched under the RAMP Programme. The MSME Champions Scheme (ZED, Lean and MSME Innovative), National SC/ST Hub Scheme etc. The MSMEs were provided awareness about the RAMP Schemes as well which include - Scheme on Online Dispute Resolution for Delayed Payments, MSE Green Investment and Financing for Transformation (MSE GIFT), MSE Scheme for Promotion and Investment in Circular Economy (MSE SPICE), MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative, Udyami Bharat Portal and other efforts supported under RAMP like TReDS and ESG etc.
The event was addressed by Shri Ateesh Kumar Singh (Joint Secretary, MoMSME), Shri Vinamra Mishra (Director, MoMSME), Shri Chandrakant Pulkundwar (Divisional Commissioner, Pune), Shri Palash Srivastava (CEO – IIFCL Projects Ltd.), Shri Prashant Girbane (Director General – MCCIA), Shri T. Koshy (CEO & MD – ONDC), Shri Mukesh Chandra Upadhyay (GM – Bank of Maharashtra), Shri Subranshu Acharya (Chairman & MD - NSIC), Shri N Dattacharya (Founder - C4i4 Lab, Pune), Shri Rajendra Nimbalkar (MD – MSSIDC, Govt. of Maharashtra), Shri V.K. Niranjan (DGM, DPSS, CO – Reserve Bank of India), Shri R.K. Singh (CGM – SIDBI), Shri Aniket Khasnis (Deputy Director – ACMA), Shri Vidya Sagar Singh (Sr. GM – NSIC), and Shri Santosh Kamble (President – DICC).

Shri Ateesh Kumar Singh emphasized upon the changing landscape of the MSME ecosystem and the Ministry’s initiatives for providing support to MSMEs through digital and technological solutions for increasing access to credit, market, technology, addressing the issue of delayed payments and greening of MSMEs.
Shri Rajendra Nimbalkar, Managing Director, MSSIDC appreciated the efforts taken by the Ministry of MSME under RAMP Programme and the support provided to MSMEs in Maharashtra. Shri Subranshu Acharya (Chairman & MD - NSIC emphasized the need for creating marketing linkages for the MSMEs. Shri T. Koshy addressed the gathering about the MSME TEAM Initiative and how it can enhance access to digital market for MSMEs through ONDC. Shri Palash Srivastava, CEO IIFCL Projects Limited addressed the participants about the initiatives of the Ministry under the RAMP Programme for accelerating the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs.

The event saw the participation from a large number of MSMEs, industry associations, Central and State Government, banks and financial institutions, PSUs and the World Bank.
