‘INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY’ was observed on 21.06.2024by the Income Tax Department, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry in the presence of Shri. Krishna Murari, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax - 1, Chennai& Director General of Income Tax (Investigation), Chennai at Income Tax Office, No.121, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai.  The theme of “International Yoga Day-2024” is “Yoga for Self and Society” andthis year's focus is on the transformative power of yoga to enhance the well-being of Individuals and contribute to a healthier society.

Eminent yoga teacher Dr.VikramSrinivasanhandled the Group Yoga Session and highlighted the importance of practicing Yoga in our daily life to enhance the physical, psychological and emotional aspects of wellbeing.Officers and Officials of the Income Tax Department, Chennai participated in large numbers and benefitted by the Session. Similar Group Yoga Sessionswere organised in the offices of Income Tax Department in Tambaram, Cuddalore, Puducherry, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Madurai.
