Graduation Showcases 2024 of Fashion Communication, Fashion Management and Accessories Design

NIFT Gandhinagar hosted the Graduation Shows Facets 2024 of Accessories Design, Art Dimensions 2024 of Fashion Communication, and The Bottom Line of Fashion Management on 24th May 2024 at NIFT Gandhinagar.
Ms. Roop Rashi (IA&AS), Textile Commissioner of India, was the Chief Guest on the occasion inaugurated the graduation show displays with Shri Lalit Narayan Singh Sandu, Managing Director, Gujarat State Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation Ltd, Dr. Rajul K Gajjar, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Technical University and Prof. Dr Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar.
The program commenced with an opening inaugural ceremony featuring inspiring speeches from Prof. Dr Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar, Ms. Roop Rashi (IA&AS), Textile Commissioner of India, and Shri Lalit Narayan Singh Sandu, Managing Director.
The guests recognized the students' hard work and dedication. They acknowledged the countless hours of study, creativity, and perseverance each student invested in their education. In their speeches, they congratulated the graduates on their achievements, highlighting the significance of their accomplishments and their bright futures. The guests admired the students' resilience and determination, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their future endeavors.
Prof. Dr. Sameer Sood, Director, NIFT Gandhinagar, congratulated the graduating class 2024 with motivational words. He emphasized the importance of consistent effort in life and encouraged everyone to overcome laziness, which he described as a significant obstacle to achieving one's potential. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he said, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached." He further urged, "Arise once more, for nothing can be accomplished without renunciation and He alos quoted famous words as
करत करत अभ्यास के जड़मति होत सुजान, रसरी आवत जात ते सिल पर परत निशान
Through repeated practice, even a fool can transform into a sage, just as a stone is engraved by the friction of a rope in a well. Similarly, even the most inert mind can attain wisdom with persistent effort. Thus, the key lies in continuous practice and dedication.
Following Graduation Showcases 2024 displayed at NIFT Gandhinagar for the Fashion Communication, Fashion Accessories Design and Fashion Management
FACETS 2024
Thirty-five (35) graduating students from the Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories Department presented their graduation projects at FACETS 2024. Each exhibit captured their creative skills, goals, and achievements, honoring their scholastic achievement, tenacity, enthusiasm, and dedication to quality. Every exhibit, from the elaborate beauty of jewelry to the smooth incorporation of UI/UX design, from the lavishness of home décor to the harmonic symphony of interior landscapes, furniture, and exhibition design, to the experimental toy design, stood as a monument to the diverse character of this dynamic discipline of accessory design. They worked with jewelry brands such as Zoya, Tanishq, Bluestone, Farah Khan Fine Jewelry, Harit Zaveri, Novel Jewels, KP Sanghvi, Karma Enterprise, and others. Alongside decor and interior brands like Vallaya Homes, Gala Group, and Boingg, UI/UX startups included Black Tulip and Kritsnam Technologies. The fields of design were further diversified by creative efforts in toy and exhibition design with businesses like Smartivity and Moving Pixels.
The Bottom Line
The Bottom Line is the premiere graduation project showcase for Master of Fashion Management (MFM) Thirty-four (34) students in 2022-24. This event marked the pinnacle of their academic achievements, featuring groundbreaking projects that seamlessly integrate creative design with strategic business acumen. Attendees are captivated by various innovative fashion concepts and market strategies, reflecting the students' exceptional talent and forward-thinking vision.
Students secured pre-placement offers from prestigious companies such as Flipkart and Aditya Birla, with the highest package reaching an impressive 24 LPA. In addition to the remarkable achievements in securing prestigious placements, our students' impactful contributions during their graduation projects are worth celebrating. Through their expertise in merchandising, buying, marketing, category management, CRM, and various departments, our students generated an outstanding total sales revenue of ₹20,79,200 for Mortantra through email campaigns. Furthermore, other student's strategic efforts led to a significant increase in conversion rates, raising it from 2.5% to 3.5% for the makeup category of Smytten, showcasing the ability to drive tangible results in the dynamic landscape of the fashion industry.
The Art Dimensions:
The Fashion Communication Department is presenting a graduation showcase called Art Dimension, featuring 39 graduating students from the 2024 communication batch. These projects, spanning disciplines like branding, visual merchandising, social media marketing, communication design, UI-UX, and visual design, showcase the students' talents and innovative thinking, showcasing their ability to apply their skills across various professional domains.
