Based   on  intelligence,    a  female   Indian    passenger,     who   arrived    from Sharjah   by Air  Arabia   flight  on  01.05.2024  was  intercepted     by Air  Intelligence Unit  Officers.   During    the  search   of  her  belongings,    gold   in a  rubbery    paste form  was  concealed   in her  undergarments.

The  recovered  gold  weighing  1.69 Kgs valued  at  Rs.  1.07  Crores was    seized     under     The    Customs    Act,    1962.  The    passenger    was arrested,  remanded  and  sent  to judicial  custody.

Further  investigation  is under   progress.
