O/o Controller of Communication Accounts, Gujarat Circle had launched Program SAKHI – Skill And Knowledge Handing over Initiative, which aims for Skill Development, Empowerment and Livelihood promotion of women. The target group is ASHA and Anganwadi working women as well as other unemployed women. The program spanned a full week and prizes and certificates were awarded to the participants on the concluding session. The program featured a diverse array of speakers, discussions, interactive workshops, Training on Basic IT & Computer Knowledge, Self Defence, Health etc.

As part of celebrations of International Women’s Day 2024, the first batch of SAKHI program was launched on 1^st March 2024 by Ms. Jayati Samaddar, CCA Gujarat. After a week full of training sessions, an interactive session was held on 07^th March 2024, graced by Ms. Mittal Patel, Board Member, Development & Welfare Board for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Com. of GoI and a proud recipient of Nari Shakti Puraskar.

The concluding session, held on 08^th March 2024, was graced by the doctor couple who have scaled Mount Everest, Dr. Surbhi Leuva, Chief Medical Officer, Gujarat Vidyapith and Dr. Hemant Leuva, Professor, NHL Municipal Medical College in the presence of CCA Gujarat. Prizes and Certificates were awarded to all women participants for active participation in Program SAKHI.
