Under today’s programme around 390 artisans are benefitted.

He further highlighted that Khadi, once the potent weapon wielded by Pujya Bapu in the struggle against British rule during the Swadeshi movement, has now been championed by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to revive its former glory. While inaugurating the National Flag Production Unit at DTGKSS, Garag, Chairman KVIC said that so far only one National flag production unit was working under Karnataka Khadi Gramodyog Samyukta Sangh (Federation), Hubli. This new initiative will increase the production capacity of National Flags to meet the growing demand of National flag across the country. The Garag region, known for its excellence in flag production, will now contribute significantly to fulfilling the national requirement under the prescribed norms, he added.

During his speech, Shri Manoj Kumar commended the efforts of the artisans and weavers involved in the production of the National Flag. He underscored the importance of their contributions in upholding national pride and symbolizing the spirit of unity and patriotism.

The event concluded on a high note, with the Hon'ble Chairman reaffirming the commitment to boost Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to support the Vocal for Local and Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas and empower artisans across the country.
