The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, National Institute of Technology Puducherry is organizing a Five Days Short-Term Course on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Techniques for Engineering Applications-Theory and Practice” in association with NITPY IEEE student branch from 26th February 2024 to 01st March 2024.

Dr.Sishaj P Simon”, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIT Trichy has inaugurated the short-term course on 26th February 2024 around 10.00 AM in the presence of Dr. S. Sundaravarathan, Registrar, Dr.G. Lakshmi Sudha, NITPY IEEE Branch Counsellor and Dr.G.Koperundevi, Associate Professor and HoD (EEE). The faculty members, staffs, participants and students have attended the inaugural function. The chief guest has explained about the importance of artificial intelligence.

The convener of the short-term course Dr.A. Venkadesan, welcomed the gathering by presenting saplings to the guests. The coordinator of the short-term course Dr. Ram Jethmalani C H explained about the objectives of the course and session details of the course. Several sessions have been arranged by the experts in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The course has got good response. Totally 60 participants have been registered for the course from various institutes across India. The participants have been taught both theory and practical hands-on training sessions. For better understanding, the course material is also provided.
