NCGG completed training of 69th& 70th batches of civil servants of Bangladesh; So far, 2557 officers from Bangladesh received training at NCGG.

The 2–week 69th& 70th batches capacity building programme (CBP) for the civil servants of Bangladesh organised by the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) concluded on 16 February,2024. 84 Officers serving as Deputy Secretaries and Up-Zilla Nirbahi Officers attended the program held at Mussoorie and New Delhi. With the successful conclusion of the 69th and 70th Capacity Building Programs, NCGG has achieved the milestone of conducting capacity building programs for 2500 civil servants of Bangladesh. A total number of 2557 Bangladesh Civil Servants have been imparted capacity building programs at NCGG. The Capacity Building Programs for Bangladesh Civil Servants are being conducted under the ITEC program of Ministry of External Affairs which is implemented through MOU’s signed by NCGG with Government of Bangladesh. Following the completion of the first phase of CBP for 1,500 civil servants, NCGG signed an MoU with the Government of Bangladesh to enhance the capacity of additional 1,800 civil servants by 2025. NCGG has till date provided training to 940 officers of Bangladesh.

The Capacity Building Program focused on the key role of Sub-Divisional Officers in Land Administration, and improving justice delivery to ensure revenue administration is conducted efficiently. The Program also focused on the role of Deputy Secretaries in the Central Secretariat and emphasised on digitalization of the central secretariat by adoption of e-Office. The young civil servants of Bangladesh were encouraged to adopt technology to bring citizens and government closer, pursue digital transformation of institutions and digital empowerment of citizens. Among the topics covered are the changing paradigm of governance, disaster management, leadership and communication, Digital India, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Swamitva scheme, efficient public service delivery, Housing to all scheme, digital governance in health care, Mudra Yojana among others. Bangladesh Civil Servants also undertook exposure visits to District Collectorate Bulandshahar, to augment their overall learning journey. In the valedictory session the Bangladesh Civil Servants interacted with V.Srinivas, Secretary DARPG and Director General NCGG. The entire capacity building programme was supervised by Dr. A. P. Singh, Course Coordinator, Dr.Mukesh Bhandari,  Associate course Coordinator, Shri Sanjay Dutt Pant, Programme Assistant  and the capacity building team of NCGG. In partnership with MEA, NCGG has imparted training to civil servants of 17 countries viz. Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, Seychelles, Gambia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Laos, Vietnam, Nepal Bhutan, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Eretria  and Cambodia.
