The Gandhinagar Chapter of the HindAyan Delhi to Pune Cycle Expedition 2024, was organised on Wednesday, February 14. The event was flagged off from the landmark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial Ahmedabad by NDRF Inspector Ranjit Singh Patel. The event aims to promote the culture of cycling for good health and better mental robustness among citizens of India.

The second edition of the HindAyan Delhi to Pune Cycle Expedition started from the National War Memorial, New Delhi on Saturday February 10 and it will end in Pune on February 19, on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This year’s theme is Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat.

At present, India does not have a long-distance cycling race. So, most of the members of the national cycling team and Adventure Cells of Armed Forces have to go to the US, UK and France to participate in the long-distance cycling race.

‘Hence, in order to promote the the culture of cycling and give a platform to our cycling teams to practice outdoor, we have organised the ‘HindAyan Cycle Expedition and Race' said Vishnudas Chapke, who is the first Indian to circumnavigate the globe overland travelling through 35 countries on five continents.
