सांख्यिकी आणि कार्यक्रम अंमलबजावणी मंत्रालय
किरकोळ महागाई जानेवारी 2024 मध्ये 5.10 टक्क्यांवर आली

सांख्यिकी आणि कार्यक्रम अंमलबजावणी मंत्रालयाचे (एमओएसपीआय) राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय (एनएसओ), या प्रसिद्धीपत्रकात ग्रामीण (आर), शहरी (यु) आणि एकत्रित (सी ) जानेवारी 2024 (तात्पुरता) साठी आधार 2012=100 नुसार अखिल भारतीय ग्राहक किंमत निर्देशांक (सीपीआय) आणि संबंधित ग्राहक अन्न किंमत निर्देशांक (सीएफपीआय) जारी करत आहे. उप-समूह आणि अखिल भारतीय तसेच सर्व राज्ये/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशातील गटांसाठी देखील सीपीआय जारी करत आहे.
साप्ताहिक रोस्टरवर एनएसओ, एमओएसपीआय च्या फील्ड ऑपरेशन्स विभागाच्या क्षेत्रीय कर्मचाऱ्यांनी वैयक्तिक भेटीद्वारे निवडलेल्या 1114 शहरी बाजारपेठांमधून आणि सर्व राज्ये/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांचा समावेश असलेल्या 1181 गावांमधून किंमतीबाबत डेटा गोळा केला जातो. जानेवारी 2024 च्या महिन्यात, एनएसओ ने 99.8% गावे आणि 98.5% शहरी बाजारपेठांमधून दर गोळा केले , तेव्हा बाजारनिहाय किमती ग्रामीण भागासाठी 89.9% आणि शहरी भागासाठी 93.6% होत्या.
सर्वसामान्य निर्देशांक आणि सीएफपीआय वर आधारित अखिल भारतीय महागाई दर (पॉईंट टू पॉइंट आधारावर म्हणजे गेल्या वर्षीच्या त्याच महिन्याच्या तुलनेत चालू महिना, म्हणजे जानेवारी 2023 च्या तुलनेत जानेवारी 2024), खालीलप्रमाणे आहेत:
