Non-Major Greenfield Ports

Under Sagarmala Scheme, 4 waterways projects in the State of Karnataka were sanctioned by the Ministry for partial financial assistance. Details are annexed [Annexure-I].
No financial assistance has been provided by the Ministry under Sagarmala Schemefor development of all-weather non-major Greenfield Ports of Keni-Belekeri and Pavinkurve in Uttar Kannada district, Karnataka.
Non- Major Ports are under the administrative control of the respective State Government / State Maritime Board. Government of Karnataka has informed that presently, Karnataka does not have any operational privately run non-major port. However, Honnavar Port has been awarded to M/s Honnavar Port Pvt. Ltd. And Keni Port has been awarded to Masad Infra Services Private Ltd. (consortium of M/s JSW Infrastructure Ltd.)
