DRM Digital Radio awareness campaign gains momentum in Goa

With an aim to provide physical demonstrations of DRM Digital Radio, an awareness campaign is underway in Goa.

Led by Dr. Thamminana Krushna Rao, former Deputy Director of the Audio Video Production & Research Centre at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad and under the supervision of Shri Sunil Bhatia, Deputy Director General and Head of the office, All India Radio, Panaji, and Doordarshan Kendra, Panaji; and Shri C.P. Hari Kumar, Assistant Engineer, All India Radio, Panaji, the campaign focuses on select target groups, which include car showrooms, drivers, sales staff, staff managers, relationship managers, and sales executives.

The campaign is being conducted at various showrooms, including Maruti (Arena & Nexa), MG Motors, Toyota, and Mercedes Benz. There are nearly two lakh cars equipped with DRM Digital Radio facilities in the state of Goa.

The awareness drive focused on North Goa on 30th and 31st January and will be extended to South Goa on February 1st and 2nd, 2024.

The campaign is set to include additional programs featuring sample surveys and feedback from approximately 150 sales staff, car owners, and drivers across five showrooms per day. Guest lectures at engineering colleges targeting students of Electronics & Communications and Journalism are also scheduled during these two days.
