1.         Boys Sports Company, The Madras Engineer Group & Centre Bangalore is a joint venture between Sports Authority of India and Indian Army with a provision to select and groom Young potential talent in selected sports disciplines to enhance our medal prospects in the future International Sports Competitions.

2.         Army Boys Sports Company the Madras Engineer Group & Centre Bangalore, will be conducting an induction rally for admission of raw and proven young boys as sports cadets from 05 to 08 Feb 2024 in Boxing, Hockey, Sailing & Swimming Sports Disciplines.

3.         The sports selection trials, Physical and Technical skills in the respective sports disciplines will be held under Sports Authority of India Coaches and board of officers. The selection will remain provisional until approved by IHQ of MoD (Army) / Sports Authority of India. The selected cadets will be called up to join Army Boys Sports Company MEG & Centre Bangalore on receipt of final approval from above authorities.

4.         Reporting Date and Time for Registration.

5.         Eligibility

            (a)       Age and Sports achievements

(i)         Boys in the age group from 08 years and one day to 14 years (born between 05 Feb 2010 and 05 Feb 2016). Specific sports certificate if any, will be ascertained.

(ii)        Boys in the age group from 14 years and 01 day to 16 yrs (born between 05 Feb 2008 to 04 Feb 2010) who are medalist in National / International competitions recognized by National Federations in Hockey / Swimming / Boxing / Sailing sports will also be considered. Certificate of merit shall of within two years as on day of induction rally.

            (b)       Education     -           Minimum Class 03rd Standard pass

            (d) Medical Fitness.

            (i) Will be ascertained by Medical Officer, MEG & Centre and Army Hospital                           Medical Specialists.

            (ii) Boys bearing any type of TATTOO on any part of their body will NOT be                                       selected.

6. Documents Required.       Boys must be in possession of the following documents at the time of registration :-

   (a) Original copy of Birth Certificate (Issued by Municipal Corporation / Registrar   of birth and deaths).

  (b)  Original copy of Caste Certificate.

  (c)  Original copy of Education Certificate from School.

 (d) Original copy of Character Certificate from Gram Pradhan / Tehsildar / SDM.

 (e)  Original copy of Residential Domicile Certificate (Issued by Tehsildar / SDM).

 (f) Indemnity Bond (Format enclosed)

 (g) Six copies of latest passport photos, one joint photo with grandparents (if alive)    and One joint Photo with parents / Guardians (if Parents not alive).

(h)  Original  copy of Aadhaar Card.

(j)  Original copy of Sports participation certificates at District level and above, if any             (08 years and one day to 14 yrs of age).

(k)  Original copy of Sports participation certificates at National and International        level (14 years one day to 16 yrs of age).

(l)  Personal and playing Kit for participation in selection trials of respective games.

Note:  All above Original documents along with one Xerox copy of each          document to be             brought by candidates during the registration.

7. Screening Procedure.   The Screening Procedure for the induction rally will be as under :-

            (a)       Documentation & Basic Physical check.

            (b)       Specific Sports Skill test.

            (c)        Sports medicine test.

            (d)       Detailed Medical Checkup.

8.  Boarding & Lodging during the period of Induction Rally.  Boys are required to appear in the selection trials for induction in Army Boys Sports Company at their own expenses. During the period of rally, boys and persons / parents accompanying the boys should make their own arrangements for boarding, lodging and transportation at Bangalore. MEG & Centre will not be responsible in any way for the same. No parents will be permitted at the venue to accompany the boys, during the whole process of induction rally.

9. Medical Aid.  Immediate medial aid will be available at the venue. However, MEG & Centre does not hold any responsibility for injury sustained by the individual during the course of selection trails / tests.

10. Selection.   A Board of officers will conduct the trials / provisional selection / induction in a transparent environment. Parents / Guardians are advised not to interfere in the selection procedure. Query, if any will be addressed by the help desk only.

11. The entries / selection procedure is likely to be spread over a period of four days. The selection will be in different progressive stages. Boys who are found not suitable at any stage will be asked to leave and will not be permitted to participate in subsequent stages of selection trials.

12. Facilities provided at Army Boys Sports Company after Selection.  Selected Candidates will be provided following free of cost facilities at the Army Boys Company MEG & Centre Bangalore:-

(a) Accommodation and messing.

(b) Education from class IV to X with books, stationary and uniform.

(c) Sports training under qualified coaches.

(d) All expenditure toward competition exposure all over India.    

(e) Health Insurance including Medical and Accidental covers.

(f) On passing X std and attaining the age of 17 1/2 years, all sports cadets of Army boys Sports company, if eligible shall be allowed to participate in the enrollment process for Recruitment as Agniveers in the Indian Army. In case sports cadets backing out from enrollment in Indian Army for any reason parents of affected sports cadets will be liable to reimburse the cost of expenditure incurred by the Government on Training, Boarding, Lodging, Education and Sports equipment of sports cadets.

13. Parents / guardian of their sports cadets selected in Army Boys Sports Company but weeded out subsequently due to an reasons (like concealing facts, wrong information, not showing progress or indiscipline) shall be liable to reimburse the cost of expenditure incurred by the Government on Training, Boarding, Lodging, Education and Equipping of sports cadets.

14. Dates for induction rally can undergo change due to any local prevailing situation as mandated by competent authority.

15. Candidates after induction to Army Boys Sports Company may be shifted to another ABSC permanently if necessary on organisational grounds.

16. Selected boys will be informed, to join Army Boys Sports company, MEG & Centre Bangalore, after due approval from IHQ of MoD (Army) / Sports Authority of India. Exact date and joining instruction will be intimated later.
