SAI SAI NCoE Gandhinagar observed Veer Baal Diwas on December 26, 2023 and on this occassion, 50 athletes (25 male and 25 female) were felicitated as young sports talent by the international medalists at SAI NCoE gandhinagar. It included athletes kabaddi, Kho-Kho, handball, para powerlifting, para badminton and para athletics. Ms. Nimisha, Para Asian Games medal winner, Manpreet, Commonwealth Championship medalist, Kasturi, Gold medalist at IWAS 2023 and other prominent international athletes shared their experiences with the young athletes. The international medalists also narrated about various challenges faced and how they overcame them. Shri Rajinder Singh Rahelu, Arjuna Awardee and also coach at SAI Gandhinagar advised athletes to set their goals and make consistent efforts to achieve them. The young talents expressed their happiness about this program as they got an opportunity to interact with their role models.

Enthusiastically, these young achievers have interacted with the coaches and athletes after the event. Such interactions inculcate sports values such as Fair Play, Discipline, Dedication, and Perseverance. The athletes were also given tour to various sports and sports science facilities and were educcated about the use of modern sports science infrastructure. The session inspired young athletes to strive for excellence in their respective disciplines.
