Shri, S. Muniswamy addressing the farmers virtually on the occasion of national farmer’s day at ICAR-NBAIR, Bangalore.

ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources (NBAIR), Bengaluru, is a research institute working on exploration of biocontrol agents for the ecofriendly management of insect pests and diseases in agricultural and horticultural crops. This institute is working for farmers and celebrated the “KISAN DIWAS-2023” on December 23, 2023 at ICAR-NBAIR, Yelahanka campus, Bengaluru. Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Kolar, Shri, S. Muniswamy was the chief guest and addressed the farmers virtually where he emphasized on the aspects of doubling farmers income, promotion of millets production, crop diversification and importance of farmers produce organization (FPO). He also reiterated that all the farmers should utilize and get the benefits from the government plans. Dr. S. N. Sushil, Director, ICAR-NBAIR convened the programme and briefed about the ongoing institute activities for the welfare of the farmers. In the program about 100 farmers were felicitated by giving farm inputs, bioagent kits and sprayer.
