SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Rajbhasha Department organized the Valedictory Ceremony of Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti (NRKS), Durg-Bhilai level 'Meri Mati-Mera Desh' Essay Competition on 16^th December 2023, at HRD Centre. Shri Pankaj Tyagi, GM (P&A & Law- FSNL) was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Senior Officials of the Plant were also present during the Valedictory Function, along with personnel from various member institutions of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti, Durg-Bhilai in large numbers. Winners of the Essay Competition were felicitated by the Dignitary Guests on this occasion.

Ms. Paramita Mohanty, DGM (CET, BSP), Shri. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. DGM (RITES Ltd.), and Ms. Anuradha Dhanank, Sub Divisional Engineer (Rajbhasha-BSNL, Durg) were the Judges of the Essay Competition.

Chief Guest, Shri Pankaj Tyagi in his address said that the feeling of patriotism is imbibed in every Indian’s heart, therefore we should only do what is based on the best interests of the Nation. The Literary Competitions, not only invoke our commitment to the Nation but also enrich our knowledge of the Hindi language. Therefore, such events must be organized regularly, Shri Pankaj Tyagi said, thanking Bhilai Steel Plant for organizing the competition.

At the outset Shri. Soumik Dey, DGM (L&A & I/c Rajbhasha) and Secretary of (NRKS Bhilai-Durg) welcomed Chief Guest Shri. Pankaj Tyagi by presenting him with a book, and gave the welcome Address. In the concluding remarks, Ms. Anuradha Dhanank urged the participants to inculcate more original ideas in similar writing competitions, to enhance their writing and thinking prowess.

 

The results of the competition were as follows:- First Prize- Shri Aditya Kumar OCT, (Power and Blowing Station No. 2, BSP) Second Prize- Shri Akshay Kumar Samal, Sr. Mgr. (NSPCL) and Ms. Seema Sharma, Master Operator (SMS-III, BSP) Third Prize - Shri. Kedarnath Sonber, Lecturer (Education Department, BSP) Consolation Prize - Ms. Jaya Tiwari, AGM (Projects, BSP) and Shri. Vishal Malviya, Technical Assistant (RITES Ltd.).

 

Shri Jitendra Das Manikpuri, Asst. Mgr (L&A – Official Rajbhasa) compered the programme and proposed Vote of Thanks.
