The 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' is progressing successfully in Vidarbha, even as more and more citizens are connecting with it each day. Beneficiaries of Central government Schemes are sharing their experiences under the 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubani' thread. One such shining example was seen at Wardha.

Nilesh is a beneficiary, who belongs to the transgender community and is successfully running his catering business after taking an interest free loan of Rs 10,000 from the Union Government under the PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Yojna. Through this Nilesh has set an ideal example not only for the transgender community but the entire society as well.

In Covid Times, during the lockdown period many small vendors suffered difficulties. Therefore ,the Union government  under PM SVANidhi scheme offered  interest free loans .  Nilesh after taking this Rs 10000 loan brought some essential material and revamped his business. Nilesh has also set up a local self help group Namely Mohini Bachat Gat (Self Help Group) in Wardha. This Bachat Gat has 7 transgenders and 4 women members in total, where each member saves Rs 200 every month.  When Nilesh started his catering business, he had to face many difficulties as people were hesitant to give catering orders to a transgender. But Nilesh kept a positive temperament and focused on his work. Slowly things changed for the better and Nilesh was successful in establishing his business.  Sharing his experience Nilesh said that the PM SVANidhi acted as a boon for him. He is thankful to the Union Government and hopes that more schemes will be initiated for educated transgenders like him.

Another beneficiary Shaheen Parvin Wasim Khan shared her ‘Kahani’ at Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Yesurna Village of Amaravati District. Shaheen is the secretary of a local self help group. She said that her life was going on as usual in her village. Household work was keeping her busy all day. But in 2019 with encouragement from the Union Government total 14 local self help groups were formed in her village. Initially she faced reluctance from her family when she told them that she wants to join the group. They told her that you will have to go to banks and many more places if you join the group. How will you manage? "I am an educated lady who has completed her BA, I can manage it well", replied Shaheen to her family members. Today it has been 4 years and the group is running really very well, said Shaheen.

Thus, The 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' is  providing a platform for many beneficiaries to share how socio economic changes were introduced in their lives as a result of different Central Government Schemes.
