PM addresses Rojgar Mela through Video Conferencing; Distributes about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits


More than 400 candidates in Maharashtra received appointment letters during 11th Rojgar Mela

Appointment letters were distributed by the union ministers Piyush Goyal, Narayan Rane and MoS Ramdas Athawale at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing today. In Maharashtra, 437 candidates were given appointment letters at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur in this 11th Rojgar Mela. The recruits, selected today will join the Government in various Ministries/Departments like Central Custom and excise Department, Central Goods and Services Tax Department, Central Industrial Security Force, Armed Forces, ITBP, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Indian Postal Department, Bank of India, and Health Departments, among others.

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Food-Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Textiles, appealed to the newly recruited government officials and employees to render faithful service to make India a developed nation at the Rojgar Mela held in Mumbai.

If everyone fulfils his responsibility honestly and diligently, we can experience positive change. If we all come together and work for the welfare of the nation, the country will undoubtedly be in safe hands and no power can stop us from becoming Viksit Bharat, said Piyush Goyal.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal distributed appointment letters to 86 youths in government services at the Rojgar Mela held at Royal Opera House Charni Road in Mumbai today. Chief Commissioner of Customs Department PK Agarwal, Chief Commissioner of CGST SM Tata were present on this occasion.

Out of 135 candidates 86 have been given appointment letters in person and 49 have been given appointment letters through e-mails. All these 135 candidates have got the opportunity to serve in the Central Border Security Force, Central Goods and Services Tax Department, Central Industrial Security Force, Armed Forces, ITBP, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, India Post, Bank of India, and Health Department.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale handed over the appointment letters at the Rojgar Mela held at Birla Matoshree auditorium in Mumbai. Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Sanjay Kumar was also present on the occasion.

Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. More than 7 lakh candidates were recruited in the 10 Rozgar Melas. Shri Ramdas Athawale said that the government is relentlessly working on the issue of unemployment and going ahead with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas spirit. He further informed that, we are not only focusing on employment but also encouraging entrepreneurship amongst youth and for that we are encouraging Start up India and other schemes under the leadership of Prime Minister.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale handed over appointment letters to 25 people and a total of 78 people were  today got appointment   letters.

The 78 candidates whose appointment letters were issued today will be joining - State Bank of India-5, Bank of Baroda-1, CGHS-1, Department of Posts-17, IIT Bombay-2, Income Tax Department-26, RCF-2, Kendriya Vidyalaya-10 and Ministry of Defence-4.

At a Rojgar Mela held at Yashwantrao Chavan Vikas Pradhikaran Prabodhini (YASHDA) in Pune today, 143 people were given appointment letters for government jobs. Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rane urged everyone to contribute towards building a strong and self-reliant India in the times to come.

Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Nagpur, Jayant Diddi, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dr. O. G. Kakade were present on the occasion.

Appointment letters were distributed to 81 candidates in central government departments such as Income Tax, Railway Paramilitary Forces, AIIMS, Indian Institute of Information Technology-Triple IT. On the occasion, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax Jayant Diddi urged the newly appointed candidates to work with integrity in government service and not to fall prey to temptation. He also advised them to work towards raising the name of their department.
