Athletes from the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE) in Goa won multiple medals across swimming and table tennis events at the recently concluded Kendriya Vidyalaya National Sports Meet 2023 held in Dehradun from 2nd to 6th November.

In swimming, Dhiman Kashyap won gold medals in the 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle events. He also claimed a silver medal in the 100m backstroke event. Another swimmer Tisa won bronze in the 50m backstroke event showcasing the exceptional training being provided at the KISCE Goa.

In table tennis, KISCE’s Neeyathi Pathak claimed a silver medal in the Under 14 team event while Riya Gopi won bronze in the Under 17 singles event. Hiya Patel finished 4th in the Under 19 team event continuing the medal rush for Goa.

The achievements of the Khelo India athletes from Goa underscores the commitment towards developing grassroots sports infrastructure and unearthing talent across disciplines in the state. It is a testament to the world class training provided by experienced coaches at the KISCE Goa.

The performances would not have been possible without the dedication of coaches including Shri. Sujith TA (Swimming) and Shri.
