The 9th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa is set to take place on Friday, October 13th to be held at NIT Goa's Permanent Campus in Cuncolim, Goa at 2.30 PM. The convocation ceremony will be graced by Dr. K. Sivan, Former Secretary of the Department of Space, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Esha Keni, an alumna of the B.Tech batch of 2010-2014, as the Guest of Honour.

This year marks a new beginning for NIT Goa as the institute strives to connect with its alumni and seek their valuable guidance and contributions to enhance academic excellence. Ms. Esha Keni, an alumna herself, has been nominated as the Guest of Honour for the 9th Convocation, signifying the institute's commitment to fostering constructive alumni relationships.

NIT Goa to confer degrees to 220 deserving students this year, including B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. degrees. A total of 157 students will be awarded B.Tech degrees, while 52 students will receive M.Tech degrees. What sets this convocation apart is the achievement of 11 research students who will be receiving their Ph.D. degrees, a noteworthy distinction among newly established NITs.

Despite facing spatial constraints, NIT Goa has secured the 90th position in the Engineering category in the 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) assessment, underscoring the institute's commitment to excellence in education.
