Photo exhibition on 9 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kaylan and Swachhata Hi Seva begins at Biswanath Chariali

A two-day Photo exhibition cum outreach programme by Central Bureau of Communication(CBC), Regional office, Guwahati begins today at kamalakanta Khetra, Biswanath Chariali. The theme of the exhibition is 9 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan and Swachhata Hi Seva.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness among the masses about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of the nation and also to highlight the Government's schemes and initiatives over the past 9 years. The exhibition also aims to make people aware of the importance of cleanliness and spreading the objective of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
The exhibition today was Inaugurated by Shri Pramod Borthakur, MLA, Biswanath constituency. Shri Borthakur in his address said that this kind of exhibition will inspire the young generation. He appreciated the initiative by CBC for celebrating and paying tribute to the martyrs of the country. He also recalled the sacrifices of the martyrs from Adivasi community.

Dularam Rawtia, President, Uttar Assam Chah Janajati Kala Krishti Bikash Kendra, Diganta Ghatiwar, Secretary, Sushil Kurmi, Eminent Poet, Shivaprasad Marak, Eminent sculpture artist , Padma Kurmi, Assistant BDO, Buswanath development Block were also present along with other dignitaries in the inaugural session today. Speaking on the occasion the dignitaries recalled the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of the Nation and urged the masses to remember and follow the ideals of the freedom fighters.

The exhibition showcases around 40 photo panels dedicated to the Freedom fighters of North East India, as well as the achievements of the last 9 years in terms of Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan. Various competitions including art and quiz among students also held in the programme.
