IE(I) Students Chapters of National Institute of Technology Puducherry celebrated the 56^th Engineer’s Day on 15/09/2023 at Ki Raa auditorium at NIT Puducherry. Every year, 15^th September is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Indian Civil Engineer, scholar, and statesman Barat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. He is known to be the greatest engineer of all time, who with his vision and dedication in the field of engineering made some exceptional contributions to India.

Er. B. Pajaniappane, Chief Engineer, PWD, Govt. of Puducherry was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. He addressed the students and motivated them to become successful technocrats, who can make this world a better place for living. Student chapters of IE(I) at NIT Puducherry have conducted various events as the parts of regional languages promotion week. The prizes to the winners where distributed by the Chief Guest, Er. B. Pajaniappane. Dr. Sundaravarathan S, Registrar, NIT Puducherry, told that engineers play major role in the upliftment of the society.

R (Faculty Advisor, IEI Students Chapter (CSE), NIT Puducherry), Dr. Sunanda Ambulker (Faculty Advisor, IEI Students Chapter (ECE), NIT Puducherry), Dr. Hemachander. A (Faculty Advisor, IEI Students Chapter (EEE), NIT Puducherry) and Dr. Naveen Raj R (Faculty Advisor, IEI Students Chapter (Mech), NIT Puducherry) were also addressed the gathering. All the faculty, Staffs and Students of NIT Puducherry have participated in this program.
