Honoring the lives lost during the tragic partition and the unimaginable suffering of displacement, the Minister stated that wrong policies of those in charge led to the partition of India. He further said that my parents were victims of the ravages of this greatest human tragedy. Born in 1952, I grew up listening to how my father miraculously escaped the carnage & boarded the last Frontier Mail from Lahore. My parents and several other members of the family had to begin their lives from scratch.
