Till date, the Government has set up 11 Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) to facilitate movement of Passengers and Goods across the international land borders of the country, details of which are enclosed at Annexure.
The Government’s move of setting up Integrated Check Posts across the land borders has resulted in the formalization of hassle-free trade with neighboring countries sharing international border with India. With the setting up of Integrated Check Posts across the land borders, the movement of passengers and cargo through these land ports has been secured and resulted in revenue generation. In addition to these, the traders have been provided a secured platform and various facilities have been provided to passengers and other stakeholders like Customs, Bureau of Immigration, Plant Quarantine etc. including traders under one umbrella at these ICPs.
