A Regional Industry Meet of Food Processing & Allied Sectors was organized by the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) along with Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), at Nashik on Tuesday (August 8, 2023). The key agenda of the regional meet was World Food India 2023, which will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on November 3-5, 2023, and participation of industry stakeholders from Nashik in it.

The Chief Guest – Additional Secretary, MoFPI, Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha, interacted with the food processing industries’ stakeholders of Nashik and extended invitation to them to participate in World Food India 2023. Shri Sonaj Kumar Jha highlighted that this mega-food event is being organized by the MoFPI to provide a unique platform to all stakeholders i.e., producers, food processors, wine processors, equipment manufacturers, logistics players, cold chain players, technology providers, academia, start-up & innovators, food retailers, etc. to interact and have dialogues with their industry stakeholders. The event is slated to be the biggest-ever congregation of dignitaries, global investors and business leaders of major global and domestic food companies which would put India firmly on the global food landscape, he stated.

 
 

The meet witnessed an overwhelming response from the Regional Associations and Industries. A total of 70 industries were a part of this very important Regional Industry Meet.

The District Superintendent Agriculture Officer, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Vivek Sonawane also encouraged Nashik-based food processing industries to participate in World Food India 2023, for getting a local to global perspective. Director, MoFPI Shri Sajay Kumar Singh; Senior Investment Specialist, Invest India, Ms. Radhika Mehta; Joint Director, Trade Affairs, FICCI Shri Mayank Rastogi; were also present during the meet for interaction.
