As per information provided by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority under Deptt of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, the total number of transgender persons benefitted under National Pension Scheme is 1768. The State/UT wise list is annexed.

Government supports Community based organizations (CBOs) for setting up and maintenance of 12 “Garima Greh” - shelter homes for transgender persons at Delhi, Thane, Kolkata(2 Garima Greh), Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar ,Vadodara, Raigarh, Chennai, Jaipur,Patna and Raipur.

Garima Greh provides shelter to Transgender persons with basic amenities like shelter, food, medical care and recreational facilities. Besides, it also provides support for the capacity-building/skill development of Transgender persons.
