In a move towards enhancing the ease of the passport application process Regional Passport Office, Panaji, has urged all applicants to utilize the "DigiLocker" facility for uploading essential supporting documents during the online application submission at www.passportindia.gov.in. This initiative aims to streamline and expedite the overall processing time, providing a seamless verification experience of documents at Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs).

Through the DigiLocker platform, applicants can effortlessly upload their required supporting documents, eliminating the need to carry physical copies of the original documents during their visit to the PSKs/POPSKs. This convenient process ensures a hassle-free experience for the applicants and facilitates a quicker and smoother verification process.

Moreover, as part of the recent enhancements, the Ministry of External Affairs now accepts the "Aadhaar document" through DigiLocker as a valid proof of address and date of birth during the online application submission. Applicants who submit "Aadhaar" as one of their documents for proof of Address/DoB are advised to complete the "DigiLocker upload" process in the portal.

To further assist applicants with the DigiLocker upload process, informative videos have been provided in English and Hindi languages.
