Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that technology will contribute 21-22% of GDP by 2026-27. He was delivering the keynote address at the 'Saadaram-2023' event at Thiruvananthapuram organized by Sankalp IAS - Kerala Chapter for felicitating the successful candidates of the UPSC civil service examination this year. The Minister also said that technology and innovation are now deeply rooted in our economy, lifestyle and government, and all other areas. 

Shri Chandrasekhar said that Union Government ensures that benefits are reaching the citizens without any leakages. He said that India's growth is at an inflection point of take-off regarding economic growth and development. He told the new civil servants that they will play an important role as enablers of India's growth. Union Minister also said that with the advent of digital media, expectations are high from young civil servants due to increased transparency and scrutiny which will enable them to perform better.
