Regional Office, NSSO(FOD), MoSPI, Ahmedabad celebrated the International Yoga Day, 2023 by organising a Yoga Session for the inmates of Vatsalya Old Age Home, Vadaj run by the Red Cross Society, Ahmedabad as per activities suggested by M/o AYUSH for International Yoga Day 2023. Shri S. K. Bhanawat, Deputy Director General & Regional Head, Shri J. S. Honrao, Deputy Director and Shri A.J. Parmar, Assistant Director from Regional Office of NSSO(FOD) also participated in the same.

   

A Yoga Instructor, Shri Vijay Jajal from the Shivanand Ashram, Ahmedabad was invited to deliver the session. The Importance and Benefits of practising Yoga everyday was highlighted during this session. Also, asanas which are particularly beneficial for the aged persons were taught and demonstrated. All the participants enthusiastically participated in the event. In addition to that yoga day was also celebrated in the office premises of the Regional office, Ahmedabad and its Sub-regional offices located at Jamnagar and Rajkot in which officials performed Yoga.
