Union Minster of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Karad, was the Chief Guest at the International Yoga Day celebrations organized in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar District today collaboratively by bankers through Lead Bank i.e. Bank of Maharashtra and LIC of India. 

In his opening remarks, Dr. Bhagwat Karad, guided all the participants regarding importance of Yoga in day to day life. He stated that due to efforts of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, 21st of June is being celebrated as International Yoga Day as a result of recognition by the United Nations in 2014. 

Shri Atul Save, State Cooperation Minister, Shri Astik Kumar Pandey, District Collector, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Dr Anant Gavhane, Additional Collector, Shri Anil Sabale, Dy Director, Dept of Education, Shri Bajirao Desai, District Sports Officer, Shri Milind Gharad, Chairman, Maharashtra Gramin Bank, Shri Mahesh Dange, Zonal Manager, Bank of Maharashtra, Shri Sanjay Ramdharne, Sr Divisional Manager, LIC of India, Shri Mangesh Kedar, Lead District Manager, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, all other bank officials, Yoga Teachers, School students and public in general attended the. 

During the event, students of “Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Yoga Organization” performed Yoga before the gathering. Yoga Teacher Dr. Uttam Kalwane, along with other teachers i.e. Shri Suresh Mirkar and Mrs Taksande also demonstrated Yoga on the occasion.
