National Reading Day celebration at Kendriya Vidyalaya  Pattom was inaugurated by writer Palliyara Sreedharan ,Director, State Institute of Children's Literature, Kerala on June 19, 2023.

Shri Sreedharan also inaugurated the Readers' Club activities for 2023-'24 and launched the school library's Podcast channel. The reading day pledge was administered by Devaki, a class 8th student.

The school has been organising various activities like book fairs, author meets and competitions in connection with the ongoing Reading Month. 

Principal R.Giri Sankaran Thampi welcomed the gathering. Librarian S.L. Faisal proposed a vote of thanks. Amit Gupta, Vice Principal, KV Pattom (shift-I) was also present.
