PM Narendra Modi addresses 6th Rozgar Mela, distributes 70,000 appointment letters to successful candidates

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the National 6th ‘Rozgar Mela’ via video conferencing today and distributed about 70,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in various Government departments and organisations. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister remarked that the National Rozgar Mela has become the new identity of the present government as recruitment letters are handed out to more than 70,000 individuals today.

Here in Guwahati, the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal attended the ‘Rozgar Mela’ before appointment letters to 389 successful candidates were handed out. The appointed candidates will be joining State Bank of India (SBI), Mizoram Rural Bank, CGST & Customs (REV CBIC), Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Postal Dept, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, NABARD, SIDBI, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), UCO bank, Railways, Geological Survey of India, Oil India, NEPA, DRDO, CSD (Defence) & Ministry of Statistics.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has taken strong steps to empower the youth of the country. Over the past 9 years, various programs have been created for the empowerment of the youth, women, farmers, and every section of society. Today, the youth of our country can avail these opportunities to secure a job based on merit as any lacuna from six decades of misrule by Congress has now been weeded out with an efficient system & zero tolerance against corruption. On this auspicious occasion, I call upon all of you to join the mission to make ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by 2047 - a vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Given Modi ji’s call to take everyone along ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ philosophy in our quest to grow, develop and become Atmanirbhar, the Indians have risen up to the occasion to join this march with hope and excitement. Today, under Modi ji’s dynamic leadership, India has become world’s fifth largest economy - a reality that every Indian takes pride in. Under Modi ji’s leadership, India is marching ahead towards becoming Atmanirbhar as well as a modern, developed country by 2047. Over the past 9 years of PM Modi ji’s govt, various programs for the empowerment of the youth, women, farmers, & every section of society has created a reverberation of ‘Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahin.”
