As part of the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Yuva Sangam program, a group of forty-five youth selected from Kerala will leave tomorrow from IIT Palakkad to Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in Uttar Pradesh, informed Professor A Seshadri Shekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad in a press conference organized in the campus. Prof. Thalapil Pradeep, a Padma Shri awardee and a Professor at IIT Madras will flag off the delegation in  a function to be held at IIT Palakkad campus tomorrow at 2.30 pm.

The team consists of 35 youth from Kerala and 10 from Lakshadweep. The visit is part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam program which is a National Integration initiative that aims to promote education and cultural exchange between the states. During their week-long visit, the delegates will have the opportunity to experience and learn about various aspects of the host state under five broad areas: Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), and Prodyogik (Technology).

 The team will visit various places including Varanasi, Allahabad Museum, Chandrashekhar Azad Park, visit the industrial hub which is IFFCO in Phulpur and NTPC, Meja etc . To reciprocate this, a group of forty five selected youth from Uttar Pradesh will also visit IIT Palakkad.

The team will reach Palakkad on the 30th of this month and will visit Kaladi Sri Shankara Stupam, Kodanad Elephant Training Centre, Parambikulam, Kuthampulli Kaithari Village, Kalpathi Heritage Village, Malampuzha Dam, BEML Industrial Centre, Pudussery Panchayat.
