As per the directions of Office of Controller General of Communication Accounts, New Delhi, Nation Wide Pension Adalat, for redressal of grievances of DoT & BSNL pensioners of Tamil Nadu, was held through Virtual mode at the Conference Hall, 3 rd Floor, TNT Complex, Ethiraj Salai Building, Chennai – 600 008, on 17.05.2023 from 10:30 hrs to 13:00 hrs.

The meeting in virtual was inaugurated by Controller General of Communication Accounts, New Delhi. The Controller General of Communication Accounts, in his inaugural address, expressed the need for settling the Pensioners’ grievances on priority basis to reduce the hardships faced by them. After the inaugural address, the Circle Adalat commenced at 11.00 hours.

Pension Adalat of the Office of Principal Controller of Communication Accounts, Tamilnadu Circle was chaired by Shri Chittaranjan Pradhan, Controller of Communication Accounts, and Smt. K. Gowthami Balashri, Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Pension), Smt. T. Rupika, Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (PVA/PDA), Shri Sanjith Kumar, Deputy Controller of Communication Accounts (PDA), Shri A.G. Mani, Deputy Controller of Communication Accounts (Pension) and other officers also participated in the Pension Adalat.

Totally 56 persons, including representatives of Pensioners’ Associations, individual pensioners, Officers from BSNL Units, representatives of CPPCs of Pension Disbursing Banks and Office of General Manager (Postal Accounts & Finance), Tamilnadu Circle, participated in the Adalat.

Shri A.G. Mani, Deputy Controller of Communication Accounts (Pension) read out the grievances of individual pensioners one by one, along with the action taken to resolve the grievances to the satisfaction of the pensioners.

Totally 91 number of grievances were received for the Adalat and all the 91 cases stand settled/closed, i.e. 100% of the grievances received were settled/closed.
