Based on intelligence, Chennai Air Customs officer intercepted one female passenger, bound to Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia Airlines Flight no AK 13 on 28.04.2023. Upon examination, 23 nos. of wild life species were found concealed in their check in baggages and the same was seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

In another case officer intercepted one male passenger, arrived from Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia Airlines Flight no AK 13 on 28.04.2023, Upon examination, 20 Yellow Colour metal foils weighting 177 grams and two gold cut bits weighting 88 grams recovered which were concealed in his check in baggages and the same was seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

In total, 23 nos of Wild Life Species and 20 Yellow Colour metal foils weighting 177 grams and two gold cut bits weighting 88 grams recovered and seized under Customs Act, 1962.

Further investigation is under progress.
